I was diagnosed in 2021 with Stage 3 at the age of 41. I have no family history of bowel cancer or any other cancer. As a family, we all struggled to comprehend my diagnosis. We were given lots of information from appointments that left us all feeling confused and lost. The Bowel Cancer Support Group UK Facebook group was there from the start.
A light in the darkness of diagnosis. It made me feel like I wasn’t alone in my battle. You can ask any question, never too much information, and someone is there with support, kind words and a whole range of knowledge. The group has experienced warriors and their family and friends, all at different stages, but they share the common goal to support anyone going through this horrific disease.
